IFECMH Foundations (English & Spanish)

This training series, offered in English and Spanish explores Infant-Family and Early Childhood Mental Health (IFECMH) through the lens of Race, Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion (REDI). Participants will build foundational skills to support healthy early childhood development through safe, nurturing relationships that honor families’ cultures and intergenerational strengths. The series includes self-reflection, storytelling, and group discussions focused on the social-emotional well-being of infants, young children, and their families. 

Tala Ghantous, LCSW, is a licensed clinician and a consultant for alternative response programs and has extensive experince in proving  training to varied audiences. She is certified in the Facilitating Attuned Interactions (FAN) and Child Parent Psychotherapy models and endorsed as a RPF II.  

Monica Alejandra Noriega, Psy.D., is a postpartum chicane clinical psychologist from Central California. Dr. Noriega is a skilled weaver of ancestral and evidence-based practices for assessing and metabolizing complex trauma among pregnant people and children ages 0-5. She believes that the sacred bonds between caregivers, children, and the land are our most powerful tool for disrupting cycles of intergenerational trauma and dismantling systems of oppression. Across her diverse roles, Dra. Noriega aspires to create conditions for deep feeling, healing, and reconnection to occur at the level of the dyad, community, and collective.
