Thanks to First 5 Monterey County and local partners, this globally recognized early literacy program provides one free, high-quality book each month to children from birth to age five to inspire a lifelong love of learning.

Imagination Library books are carefully chosen to support early literacy, emotional development, and school readiness; setting your child up for success before they ever step into a classroom.

An international study about the Dolly Parton Imagination Library found that this program makes a difference! After surveying 86,000 caregivers around the world, the results are clear: Just 10 books can show measurable gains in early literacy, vocabulary, and family reading routines. The greatest impact appears in communities facing the highest barriers.

A donation of $50 provides a child with a full year of books.
